Dale Fall Fest Wiffle Ball Tourney

The 2026 Dale Fall Fest Wiffle Ball Tourney is hosted by The Wave softball team!

September 10, 11, 12:

  • Thursday, Sept. 10th, 5-8PM CT
  • Friday, Sept. 11, 5-9PM CT
  • Saturday, Sept. 12, 9AM – 2PM CT

Age Bracket Divisions:

  • 11-Under
  • 12-17
  • 18+

Teams must have a minimum of 7 players but only a maximum of 10. The tournaments are double elimination. The 1st round will be played the evening of Thursday, September 10th. Any team unable to play on Friday because of a school sporting event or other school function must indicate that on the registration form. Most teams will play their 2nd game on Friday, September 11th.

Tournaments take place at the Dale baseball fields behind the Lincoln Heritage Public Library and Community Center.

The Grand Championship will be played at 3:30PM on Saturday afternoon. The winning team will receive Dale Fall Fest Wiffle Ball Champs t-shirts and bragging rights for a whole year!

Tournament Fees

Tournament entry fees are $100 for each of the divisions. Payment is required to save spots and must be received by August 22nd, or until all spots are full. You may pay through Venmo (@WaveSoftball), or cash or check (made out to Claire Boyd); please drop off payments at The Color Bowl Salon in Dale. In order for your team to compete, please download, print, and complete this Waiver of Liability. All players (or parents/guardians of minors) must sign the waiver prior to the tournament. You may drop completed waivers off at The Color Bowl: 206 S Washington St, Dale.

Wiffleball Tournament Rules

Tournament is double elimination (or round robin, depending on the number of teams in the division)

Six-inning game or 40-minute time limit, no inning will start after 40 minutes (except for tie games) Time limits will be strictly enforced. Home/Visitor is determined by rock paper scissors except for the Championship game(s). The umpire must be present for this.

Line ups need to be turned into the bookkeeper before every game. We will not save lineup cards.

Run Rule: 20 after 3, 15 after 4, 12 after 5.

A minimum of seven players per team but only a maximum of 10 players per team. All team members must bat, but only seven will play the field. All players must play a full inning in rotation, unless they are injured.

Youth division teams must have an adult coach (over the age of 18).

Each team must have one team captain. The team captain is the only player that may appeal a call. The team captain is the only player who may ask the umpire to instruct the pitcher to slow down pitches.

No fast pitching! This will be strictly enforced!

The umpire may check the bats before each game (regulation bats only).

The umpire’s decisions are final; no arguing with the umpire!

Wiffleballs will be provided. Each team is responsible for their own bats. (Bats must be shared between both teams, if not then the bat can be removed from the game)

No “high” taping of bats, no frozen bats, no aluminum bats.

No infield fly rule.

No metal spikes.

No stealing or leading off base.

No bunting.

No foul language.

No fighting. Players fighting will be ejected from the game or tourney.

No alcoholic beverages allowed on the baseball park grounds.
